Uthlande is an integrated environment for hydromechanics calculations. Uthlande can be used during ship design and for evaluating the behaviour of existing ships. It includes a number of individual calculation modules.

The current distribution Uthlande 6.4 includes the modules Strip, Rolf, Ikeda, FS-Tank, U-Tank, Ikeda, QCM, Hyd, Manoeuv, Boat, Henry, LongTerm and DB covering aspects of sea-keeping, manoeuvring, simulation of dynamic behaviour and resistance and propulsion. Further modules are under development.

A graphical user interface provides a convenient way for quick input data. These data can be used in any of the calculation modules. The user can specify runtime parameters and invoke calculations. The results can be used for statistical analysis, 3D presentation, plots and animations in various output formats.

Many wizards help the user to add or estimate missing data. A very detailed validation of the input data helps the user to avoid errors.

Uthlande comes with a comprehensive manual directly linked to the GUI, and a user website provides a complete description of the theory behind the modules.
